👤 What You’ll Do

✔️ Manage and maintain SQL Server databases – Install, configure, and upgrade database instances, ensuring high availability, up-to-date systems, and optimal performance.

✔️ Optimize performance – Monitor database health and tune queries, indexes, and stored procedures for lightning-fast application performance.

✔️ Protect and secure data – Implement robust backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability solutions while enforcing security measures and compliance with data privacy regulations.

✔️ Deliver Power BI insights – Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that turn complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.

✔️ Integrate and automate data flows – Develop ETL processes (using SSIS or similar tools) to integrate data from various sources, and create scripts (PowerShell, T-SQL) to automate routine database tasks.

✔️ Collaborate & support – Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot data issues, provide guidance, and document solutions for future reference.

📚 What You Bring

✅ Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator – Hands-on with Microsoft SQL Server and related BI tools (SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS); experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.

✅ Strong SQL and T-SQL skills – Capable of writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions to manipulate and retrieve data efficiently.

✅ Power BI proficiency – Experience with data modeling (DAX), data transformation (Power Query), and crafting interactive dashboards and reports.

✅ Cloud familiarity – Exposure to cloud database services like Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS (considered a plus, but not required).

✅ Analytical mindset – Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in diagnosing and resolving data and performance issues.

✅ Communication and teamwork – Strong ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams, translating complex data concepts into clear terms.

✅ Education – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
